A bright cherry red, dark swirls and a small defined ring in the glass. Notes of chocolate, bing cherry, dark cherry, spice and pepper and a tobacco note provide aromatic input, The palate is tart, with mellow tannins and good acidic structure. An old oaky influence starts out imediately, vanilla, spice, dark cherry (typical of mencia), currant and herbal notes lead to a bright fruit palate profile with balanced acidity, rounded pulling tannins allow the spice and layered vanilla to finish juicy and lingering.
